Purpose of the role
This is a field-based Business Development Manager role focused on proactively identifying, building, and managing a database of customers and prospects within an agreed geographical area. The primary focus is new business development within targeted channels, markets, and sectors. The role requires a customer-focused approach and a commitment to providing exceptional service to all clients.
Duties and responsibilities
* Promote the services of Premier Asset Finance (PAF) to new prospects, manufacturers, and dealers within the sectors PAF operates in.
* Act as relationship manager for new and existing PAF, vendor, and customer relationships within the geographical area.
* Negotiate commercially acceptable transactions with key decision-makers, and complete credit applications for sanctioning within the credit process.
* Manage personal activity and pipeline to ensure targets are met, with timely and accurate reporting using CRM and other systems.
* Monitor competitor activity and market developments, feeding back insights and contributing to business development strategies.
* Represent PAF at trade exhibitions, events, and functions as required.
About You
Skills
* Experience in asset finance sales within a targeted sales organization.
* Proven success in sales with an understanding of key performance drivers.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, with solid negotiation abilities.
* Ability to work independently and proactively in a competitive environment.
* Resilient and able to manage oneself in a home-based role.
* Proficiency in PC skills including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
* Understanding of the regulatory environment of asset finance.
Qualifications and experience
Willingness to attain Paragon Credit Accreditation Level 2. Interpersonal skills are equally important as formal qualifications. Willingness to travel and stay overnight when required, with a clean driver’s license.
