This is a part time permanent position, 3 days per week, whole year. The successful candidates will work throughout Northumberland.Portage is a pre-school home visiting educational and support service for young children with special educational needs and disability. The aim of Portage is to help parents and carers to become teachers of their own children in their own homes.Working collaborative with other relevant professionals is essential and there will also be a training aspect to this role. You will also work in a variety of different schools/settings to support transitions.The post will sit in Northumberland’s Low Incidence Needs Team.Experienced in working with families and pre-school children, you will have a recognised Level 4 qualification, an in-depth knowledge of child development in the early years and approaches to supporting vulnerable children with SEND and their families.You will be well organised and self-motivated.
