About the role
We are seeking an experienced editorial leader to launch and run a new content platform based in the United States, dedicated to the world of diamonds. This is an opportunity to define and deliver an editorial proposition that informs, inspires, and shifts perceptions through exceptional storytelling and insight.
A deep knowledge of the luxury and jewellery space is essential, along with the ability to translate that expertise into compelling, multi-format content that resonates with audiences. Working closely with the client, you will set the editorial agenda, shape the tone and style, and oversee all content creation from long-form features to reactive stories, ensuring it meets the highest editorial standards. Collaboration with writers, creatives, SEO specialists, social media leads, and performance experts will be key to the platform’s success.
What you’ll do
* Define the editorial vision and strategy for the platform, ensuring originality, authority, and audience relevance.
* Collaborate closely with social media teams to ensure alignment with the editorial agenda.
* Lead a multidisciplinary content team to produce impactful, multi-format stories.
* Create and maintain editorial guidelines and tone of voice.
* Define, review and oversee workflows to ensure the smooth running of the project.
* Work closely with the client to ensure alignment on ways of working, output, review processes and
* Plan and oversee an editorial calendar, ensuring timely delivery of seasonal and reactive stories.
* Work with creative teams to ensure visuals enhance and complement storytelling.
* Use audience insights, SEO data, and industry trends to refine strategies and identify new opportunities.
* Lead idea generation sessions and develop distinctive content formats.
* Ensure all content is delivered on time, on brief, and to the highest editorial standards.
About you
* 5–7+ years in a senior editorial role with significant experience in the luxury and jewellery sector.
* Proven ability to set and execute a compelling, unique editorial proposition.
* Exceptional storytelling, editing, and writing skills.
* Strong understanding of diamonds, jewellery, and craftsmanship.
* Deep knowledge of social media platforms and how to leverage them for editorial success.
* Knowledge of paid media and how it can amplify editorial content is an advantage.
* Experience leading multi-platform content strategies and creative teams.
* Skilled in applying SEO insights to editorial planning.
* Highly organised, collaborative, and adept at mentoring.
* Competent in analytics and workflow tools such as Google Analytics, Semrush, and AI-assisted processes.
