Mobile Multi Skilled Engineer – Electrical & Mechanical Maintenance Expert

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mobile Multi Skilled Engineer to perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on a wide range of plant, equipment, and building services.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and manage risks associated with equipment on site, including updating drawings, identifying critical spares, and improving equipment performance.
- Conduct fault-finding on all types of machinery, including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
- Provide electrical and mechanical expertise to the maintenance department, working on heavy industrial machines and overhead cranes.
- Write and follow risk assessments and method statements, ensuring a safe and accurate working environment.
- Use mobile devices to accurately project and complete works from the CAFM maintenance system.
- Liaise with onsite site services to manage building services-related issues.
- Deputise for the shift leader during annual leave or sickness.
- Work overtime as required, including nights and weekends.
Requirements
- Recognised or time-served apprenticeship in electrical or mechanical engineering.
- Strong proven experience in manufacturing maintenance.
- Electrical competences to a minimum of City and Guilds 236 Pt 1-2 Electrical qualifications to 17th Edition.
- Mechanical competences to an acceptable standard to City and Guild's Mechanical.
- Good multi-skilled ability, with experience working on 3-phase motors, drives, and inverters.
- Hydraulic and pneumatic experience.
- Ability to fault-find and diagnose PLC systems.
- NVQ qualifications to Level 2, Electrical and Mechanical.
- Ability to supervise contractors and write risk and method statements.
Desirable
- Working at height qualification.
- IPAF certification.
- AP qualifications.
- Experience of heavy engineering.
