Leadership Scale (England & Wales) + Teacher Pension Scheme + 24/7 access to a free virtual GP Service + collaborative MAT network + additional LAT benefits.
Leigh Academy Rainham is seeking an exceptional and dedicated Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to join our team starting in Easter 2026. This is an exciting opportunity due to the opening of a new Specialist Resourced Provision for Moderate Learning difficulties called the Meegan Centre from September 2025. The provision will support up to 30 EHCP students, for which the SENCO will have overall responsibility alongside mainstream SEND students.
At the heart of all we do is our philosophy of 'Invisible Inclusivity'. Our structures, systems, and routines are designed to ensure every student, regardless of their needs, feels valued, belongs, and can immerse themselves in all aspects of academy life. As the next SENCO, you will drive this vision.
This role focuses on learning differences rather than difficulties, ensuring students needing support for dyslexia or ASD and those with an EHCP receive an outstanding education.
