Clerk to the Local Governing Boards
Starting – September 2025
Approximately 192 hours per year (Term Time)
Heathside Weybridge and/or Heathside Walton-on-Thames
Option to work across both schools or support just one – please indicate your preference on the application.
As we join Every Child Every Day Trust (ECED), this is a unique opportunity to be part of a growing educational community. The ECED is committed to excellence and collaborative governance. By joining us at this pivotal moment, you will support our Local Governing Boards and help shape our schools' future.
We seek a Clerk to provide clerking and administrative support to our governance bodies.
The successful candidate will attend at least 13 Local Governing Board meetings per academic year, typically held on Wednesdays and Thursdays after school (4:00 – 6:00 PM), with dates set in advance.
Duties include:
* Providing full clerking services to the Local Governing Boards of Heathside Weybridge and Heathside Walton.
* Ensuring governance practices comply with statutory and regulatory requirements and best practices.
* Preparing agendas and collating documents before meetings.
* Recording and distributing accurate meeting minutes.
* Advising Chairs and Board Advisors on governance procedures.
* Providing training and ongoing support.
Candidate requirements:
* Excellent ICT and literacy skills, with ability to prepare agendas, collate documents, and produce minutes.
* Experience in clerking or administrative roles.
* Proactive, independent, and good time management.
* Strong communication skills and a professional attitude.
* Flexible and available for scheduled and additional meetings.
