Location: Manchester (Sixth Form College)
Contract: Full-time

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a committed and supportive Educational Support Assistant (ESA) to join a thriving Sixth Form College in Manchester. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting young people in education, particularly those studying at A-Level, Advanced BTEC, and GCSE level, including students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities (LDD).

The Role:
As an Educational Support Assistant, you will:
Provide general study skills support to individuals and small groups of students.
Work with students during lessons and in independent study periods, focusing on literacy, motivation, note-taking, and keeping learners on task.
Support students with learning difficulties or disabilities, both in-class and through one-to-one interventions.
Assist with examination access arrangements, including invigilation for students with special requirements.
Help maintain a positive, focused, and inclusive learning environment.
What We’re Looking For:
A degree-qualified individual (essential), ideally with an interest in education or SEND.
Some experience working with 16–19-year-olds, either in a Sixth Form, secondary school, or voluntary capacity.
A supportive, empathetic, and patient approach to working with young people.
Experience or understanding of special educational needs (SEN) is desirable.
A proactive, reliable, and professional team player.
