Child Care Solicitor – Huddersfield An excellent opportunity has arisen for a compassionate and committed Child Care Solicitor to join a respected, community-focused law firm that truly prioritises work-life balance. The Role This position involves representing adoption carers - including grandparents, aunts, uncles and extended family members - in care proceedings. You will provide advice and representation in matters involving: Special Guardianship Orders Support plans and allowances Care proceedings The caseload is both meaningful and rewarding, offering the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of families. Due to continued growth, this Legal 500-recognised firm is expanding its Child Care team. Hybrid and part-time working options are available. About You Ideally 1 year PQE, although applications from all experience levels will be considered Strong knowledge of child care law, particularly care proceedings and special guardianship matters Excellent communication skills with a compassionate, client-focused approach Experience with legal aid eligibility and/or billing for legally aided matters Confident undertaking advocacy or keen to further develop advocacy skills A collaborative team player who enjoys working in a supportive environment Why Join?
