ProCook is seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance Operations Manager to oversee core finance processes, ensuring robust financial controls, and driving operational efficiency across the finance function.

This role owns end-to-end Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and employee expenses, while leading process improvements and enforcing financial policies across the business.

This is a full-time role, requiring 37.5 hours per week, with a hybrid working arrangement of 3 days in the office and 2 days remote at our Gloucester location (non-negotiable).

Requirements

1. Ownership of Core Finance Operations

* Full ownership of debtors (Accounts Receivable) and creditors (Accounts Payable) functions
* Oversee employee expense processes (via SAP Concur), ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reimbursement
* Maintain strong cash flow management through effective AR and AP oversight

2. Accounts Payable Leadership

* Manage and develop the AP team to ensure high performance and accountability
* Drive consistency and accuracy in invoice coding, ensuring alignment with financial reporting requirements
* Ensure timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices and payments
* Maintain the vendor ledger and supplier master data

3. Credit Control & Cash Reconciliation

* Own the cash reconciliation process for our Retail stores and Ecommerce platforms, investigating discrepancies appropriately
* Manage credit control to minimise aged debt and improve cash collection
* Build strong relationships with customers to resolve payment issues proactively

4. Process Improvement & Optimisation

* Identify, design, and implement process improvements across finance operations
* Drive automation and efficiency initiatives to reduce manual effort and error rates
* Continuously review workflows to ensure scalability and best practice

5. Business Support & Stakeholder Engagement

* Act as a key finance partner to the wider business, providing guidance on financial processes
* Support non-finance stakeholders in understanding and adhering to finance procedures
* Collaborate cross-functionally to improve financial discipline and operational outcomes

6. Policy Ownership & Governance

* Own, maintain, and support enforcement of finance policies and procedures
* Ensure compliance with internal controls and audit requirements
* Promote a culture of accountability and financial governance across the organisation

You'll fit right in if you have:

* Proven experience in a Finance Operations / Finance Manager role
* Demonstrated experience managing and developing finance teams
* AAT Level 4 Qualification, or equivalent
* Strong background in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and expense management
* Solid understanding of financial controls, processes, and compliance requirements
* Track record of delivering process improvements and operational efficiencies
* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
* Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or similar ERP systems
* Exposure to system implementations or finance transformation projects
* Excel and data analysis skills
