The Corporate Asset Team assists to shape the council’s long‑term vision, priorities, and policies. It ensures that strategic objectives are evidence‑based, aligned with statutory requirements, and responsive to local needs. The team supports senior leadership and elected members in making informed decisions that deliver sustainable outcomes for communities.
About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Corporate Asset Officer to join the Corporate Asset Team supporting the development and delivery of the Corporate Asset Strategy and Management Plan (CASMP). Key responsibilities include:
* Ensuring accurate and efficient data and reporting systems are established and utilised to inform efficient, sustainable, and appropriate management of the Council’s estate.
* Engaging with stakeholders to ensure property decisions support service delivery, community priorities, and wider corporate objectives.
* Applying knowledge of strategic asset management, the Corporate Landlord model, property legislation, governance, public sector frameworks, data management systems, reporting tools, Community Asset Transfer (CAT) processes, and principles of social value.
Requirements:
* Relevant degree in Surveying, Asset Management, Property, Business, Strategic Management, or Facilities Management.
* Driving licence and access to a car or means of mobility support.
