Operations Manager
Job Summary: A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for an innovative and talented leader whose main purpose is to consistently monitor, evaluate and control/increase the efficiencies in the Operations Department in line with the department’s Key Performance Indicators. The post holder will anticipate and strategically identify areas for improvement, develop action strategies to overcome barriers and make the Operations Department as efficient as possible. The post holder will report any avoidable breaches, with solutions, to the Head of Operations.
Key Duties: Manage and lead a team of colleagues within the Operations Department, acting as the front line of a high standard of service in the safe and effective delivery of patient care through call handling, dispatch and coordination of clinical care. Use first‑class people management skills to create a supportive environment; model, inspire and encourage a culture of inclusion and respect. The role also involves networking, contributing, producing and presenting at external meetings across various locations, positively influencing stakeholders and maintaining good working relationships.
Workplace: On‑site at Moorgate Primary Care Centre, 22 Derby Way, Bury, Manchester, BL9 0NJ, United Kingdom. Remote or hybrid options are not offered.

Salary and Benefits
£40,000 a year + NHS Pension. Permanent contract, full‑time.
Eligibility
* Experience of working in a management capacity
* Knowledge of Out of Hours Services / working with the general public
* Computer literate with a good understanding of internal systems
* Experience of working in a pressurised environment, actively responding to a variety of priorities in the span of duty
* Experience in performance management/monitoring
* Knowledge of confidentiality regulations and protocols
* Good standard of education (GCSE or equivalent)
* Satisfactory DBS and references, driving license
Desirable
* Knowledge of the NHS
* Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations
* Knowledge of public sector procurement and commissioning frameworks
