Highway Infrastructure Manager

* Job Type: Contract (4 months)
We are seeking a Highway Infrastructure Manager to manage and oversee the technical approval, inspection, and adoption of new highway infrastructure delivered through Section 38 Agreements under the Highways Act 1980. This role is crucial in ensuring that developments meet the required standards for adoption and align with local and national policy, ensuring the safety and integrity of the public highway network.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Oversee the technical approval process for new highway infrastructure.
* Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with relevant standards and policies.
* Manage the adoption process of highway infrastructure into the public network.
* Coordinate with developers, engineers, and local authorities to facilitate smooth project progression.
* Ensure all projects align with local and national highway policies and standards.
* Handle public consultations and attend occasional evening meetings as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven experience in highway infrastructure management or a similar role.
* Strong understanding of Section 38 Agreements and the Highways Act 1980.
* Ability to interpret and implement technical standards and regulations.
* Excellent organisational and project management skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of managing multiple stakeholders.
* Full driving licence and access to a vehicle for site visits.
