Our Pricers and Underwriters are essential in balancing business goals with customer needs, reducing risk, and predicting future events to ensure growth and optimal pricing for consumers.
What You’ll Be Doing
Join us as a Motor Underwriter in our Motor Underwriting Team. We’re looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated team player to help grow our brands and strengthen our presence in the Motor Insurance market. You’ll be involved immediately, gaining new experiences, influencing our work positively, and making a real impact on our customers’ lives. We will utilize your skills where they are most needed and provide opportunities to expand your expertise.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Support management of our Core Motor product portfolio, reviewing performance and identifying improvement opportunities
* Proactively develop and implement application fraud controls, identifying new rules and controls
* Collaborate with counter fraud teams and monitor fraud performance
* Ensure underwriting criteria support financial targets and positive customer outcomes
* Enact and improve underwriting controls
* Work with a multidisciplinary trading team
Working Model
Our hybrid model combines home and office working, with colleagues typically spending at least 2 days in the office. We offer flexibility to suit your role, with roles available in London, Bristol, Leeds, or Glasgow.
What You’ll Need
* Experience in developing motor underwriting proposals, preferably in personal lines insurance
* Experience with fraud controls at quote and post-sale stages
* A proven track record of positive impact through underwriting expertise
* Ability to analyze data to inform decisions
* Experience with data analysis tools; SQL experience is desirable
* Knowledge of insurance regulations and legislation
* Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
* Ability to innovate and work in a fast-paced environment
