We are currently looking for a Senior Registrar to join our Arts Council Collection team on a full time 12 month fixed term contract.
The Senior Registrar will work closely with the Head of Collection Care and Technical Managers on loans, exhibitions, acquisitions, store move and collection care. They will support all aspects of the collection management and the store move to Coventry.

The annual salary stated is based on the Full-Time Equivalent (40 hours per week). If the job is part-time, the weekly hours will be stated within the advert.

Key Responsibilities
* To lead on all aspects of Registration and Collection Management responsibilities and planned Store move of the Arts Council Collection, working directly with the Head of Collection Care.
* Review, administer and advise on governance arrangements, processes and procedures for acquisitions, loans, long loans, collection stores, security, including identification and management of risk.
* Manage the process of bringing new acquisitions into the collection, working with the Technical Manager and Head of Collection Care to ensure they are processed to SPECTRUM standards.
* Be responsible for ensuring that collections data for the store move is accurate, consistent and accessible.
Skills & Experience
* Demonstrable IT Skills; particularly with Google Suite, MS Office and collection information management systems and digital asset management systems.
* Knowledge of the standards and procedures required for the safe storage, packing, movement and display of works of art including knowledge of object handling, packing and installation requirements.
* Proven knowledge of insurance, indemnity and security issues in relation to object movements in the UK and abroad.
* Knowledge of SPECTRUM documentation standards, especially relating to loans in and out, object movement, acquisition and disposal.
