Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining press brake machines to fabricate sheet metal components according to specifications. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
* Operate press brake machines to bend and shape sheet metal components.
* Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate fabrication.
* Set up tooling and adjust machine settings as necessary for different jobs.
* Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet specifications.
* Use hand tools and grinding equipment to finish parts as required.
* Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and maintain workflow.
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Experience
* Previous experience in operating press brake machines or similar equipment is preferred.
* Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication processes is essential.
* Basic maths skills are required for measurements and calculations.
* Proficiency in using hand tools and mechanical knowledge is advantageous.
* Experience in welding, assembling, or fabricating components will be considered a plus.
Candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment to quality workmanship and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £13.50-£15.00 per hour
