Job Description
Your mission:
As a member of the EHS team, you will be responsible for the maintenance and promotion of all Health, Safety, and Environmental topics at a manufacturing site.
You will be responsible for site performance on Occupational Health and Safety topics, as well as ensuring internal and external compliance with relevant legislation and directives.
Monitor improvement plans within the site
Promote and assist management in the development and application of prevention programmes
Perform and/or complete Occupational Health and Safety activities, including analysis and recording on specific issues
Your main responsibilities:
Lead incident investigations, contractor management, PPE management, chemical management, and emergency management processes
Lead daily and weekly safety walks and talks, as well as risk assessments when required
Deploy and manage occupational risk assessments and site impact assessments
Work with leadership to propose targets, action plans, and resources according to internal guidelines
Ensure safety control measures are in place and followed for all activities (employees, contractors, visitors, routine and non-routine, on-site and off-site)
Ensure effectiveness of safety walk processes at management level and track completion of actions
Maintain management systems for Health & Safety, Environment, and Energy (e.g. ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 50001)
Ensure compliance with all relevant Health & Safety regulations
Ensure KPI accuracy and reporting to site leadership and external systems
Lead the Health & Safety committee and coordinate teams
Provide training to staff at all levels within the site
What qualifications and experience will make you successful?
A formal Health & Safety qualification (e.g. NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent)
Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role or within Occupational Health, Safety & Environment
Experience within an engineering and/or manufacturing environment is preferred
