What Youll Be Doing as CNC Machinist: Ensuring the smooth, efficient running of CNC machines Producing components that consistently meet strict quality standards Delivering work On Time In Full (OTIF) Carrying out self-inspection and sanctioning of your own work Working across turning, milling, and grinding operations (cell-dependent) Supporting excellent workplace organisation and 5S standards Gaining full cross-training across all cell disciplines Occasionally assisting with assembly, pinning, or non-machinery tasks What Were Looking for as CNC Machinist: Essential: Previous experience in CNC turning or milling or grinding Confident using standard measuring equipment Background in an engineering or manufacturing environment Strong numerical skills and attention to detail A reliable, team-focused attitude with a commitment to quality Comfortable following procedures and working to targets Desirable: NVQ in Engineering Manufacture (or equivalent) / Advanced Apprenticeship GCSE English & Maths (Grade C or above) Computer literacy Shift Pattern: A Shift: MonThu: 6:00am 1:35pm Fri: 6:00am 12:45pm B Shift: MonThu: 1:25pm 9:05pm Fri: 12:35pm 7:00pm ( 20% shift premium ) Overtime available when required What Youll Get in Return as CNC Machinist: Competitive salary (dependent on experience) plus shift premium 25 days holiday bank holidays Company pension with 5% employer contribution Subsidised healthcare and personal accident plan Uniform provided Subsidised canteen & on-site parking Bike to Work Scheme Employee referral & suggestion schemes Long service awards & death in service cover Why Join NMB?
