Job Purpose
To support Lancashire County Council on its carbon and cost reduction journey by offering professional technical assistance in improving the energy performance of our buildings.
Responsibilities
* Provide technical advice on a commercial basis in accordance with the Asset Management Service business plan.
* Under the guidance of the Energy Manager, prepare schemes and tender documents for the implementation of investment measures.
* Support the management and implementation of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive and related legislation, including provision of Display Energy Certificates and Recommendation Reports.
* Assist with energy procurement activities and resolve queries.
* Conduct site visits to investigate anomalies discovered by analysts or concerns raised by clients, including confirming meter readings and exploring system issues.
* Engage fully with sites that are part of the Council's energy supply contract to support them in all matters relating to their energy supply contracts.
* Undertake energy/water surveys and issue detailed reports with suggested improvements and feasibilities.
* Take or confirm meter readings in difficult-to-access places (e.g., at height, outside, under heavy chamber lids or under water).
