Role Summary
As a Chef at Clarence House Hotel, youll be part of a close-knit kitchen team responsible for preparing and serving classic, home-style meals that keep our guests coming back. Youll help deliver breakfast, lunch, and evening service, ensuring food quality, hygiene, and customer satisfaction remain top priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook meals in line with the hotels set menus and service standards
Ensure dishes are presented to a high standard, consistently and efficiently
Support with menu development, seasonal offerings, and daily specials
Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment at all times
Assist with stock control, ordering, and waste reduction
Follow and enforce all food safety, hygiene, and allergen procedures
Work collaboratively with the Head Chef and wider hotel team to ensure smooth service
Requirements
NVQ Level 2 in Professional Cookery (minimum); Level 3 preferred
Valid Food Safety Awareness Certification (Level 2 or above)
Valid Food Allergy Awareness Certification or equivalent training
Previous experience in a busy kitchen, hotel, or similar catering environment
Strong understanding of food hygiene, allergens, and kitchen best practices
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and as part of a team
Excellent time management and organisational skills
Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and peak seasons
