Overview
Practitioner Psychologist role at Moby Call. Chartered Clinical, Counselling or Forensic Psychologist in Mental Health Treatment Requirement (LLR) - 22.5 hours per week. Maternity cover - 12 months fixed term from January 2026.
Role and context
Joining Turning Point's Mental Health Treatment Requirement (MHTR) service within substance misuse provision to ensure effective management, development and delivery of psycho-social interventions for individuals within the LLR service. The MHTR is a psychology-led service offering evidence-based interventions with regular supervision to ensure high-quality, bespoke treatment and use of standardized outcome measures.
Responsibilities
* Provide clinical guidance, training and leadership to a team of Senior Assistant and Assistant Psychologists who facilitate psycho-social interventions for individuals on a Mental Health Treatment Requirement.
* Contribute to governance of the Leicestershire MHTR service in collaboration with operational colleagues and under the supervision of a Consultant Clinical Psychologist.
* Advise on evidence-based psychological interventions to colleagues and local agencies.
* Inspire, develop and coordinate the team; support the development of psychological formulation skills and a trauma-informed approach.
* Manage a small caseload of service users with complex needs, providing specialist psychological assessments and therapies.
* Impact the strategic direction of the service, build professional links with statutory and voluntary providers, and integrate wider social determinants (housing, employment, finances) into treatment processes.
* Collaborate with a national team of Clinical, Counselling and Forensic Psychologists to develop approaches used across services and support career development in a therapeutic specialization aligned with service needs.
Ideal Candidate / Qualifications
* HCPC registration as a Clinical, Counselling or Forensic Psychologist.
* Doctorate in your professional discipline.
* Proven ability to deliver psychological services and experience in leading/supervising clinical staff; experience with substance misuse service users is advantageous.
* Formal supervision training is desirable but not essential.
* Excellent communication, adaptability and a commitment to the Recovery Agenda.

* Salary £54,054 - £63,236 (Pro-rata)
