Over 8 million people visit our websites each year, and we're on a mission to help create well-designed homes that look great, feel special, and positively impact people's everyday lives.
We're almost 15 years old, and in that time, we've accelerated from zero to £50m/year revenue, won local and national awards, and grown to 150-plus people. Our three websites - Drench, Tap Warehouse and Only Radiators - are growing from strength to strength, and we're looking for a Buying Assistant who will help us to continue our growth journey.
We are seeking an organised and proactive Buying Assistant to support our Buying team with a range of administrative and coordination tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin or develop a career in buying within a fast-paced retail environment. Key Responsibilities:
* Administrative Support: Provide day-to-day administrative support to Buyers and Senior Buyers, including creating and updating purchase orders, product information maintenance, competitor reviews and supporting general team organisation.
* Supplier Coordination: Communicate with suppliers to request product information, confirm order details and chase updates on deliveries and outstanding queries.
* Product Data Maintenance Ensure product information, pricing and specifications are accurate and up to date on the range plan and within internal systems.
* Critical Path Management: Assist Buyers with sourcing and product development, setting up new products, preparing information for product launches and supporting the wider go-to-market process.
* Order & Sample Coordination: Assist with raising purchase orders, tracking sample requests, logging sample arrivals and organising samples for internal review.
* Data Entry & System Maintenance: Support with data entry, preparing spreadsheets and maintaining accurate records across ERP and internal systems.
* Product Presentation: Collaborate with marketing and merchandising teams to ensure accurate and appealing product presentation.
* Meeting & Team Support: Take notes in meetings, track actions and support follow-up tasks to ensure deadlines are met.
* Office Visits: Regularly visit the office to check and organise samples and coordinate with the Product Content team.
What we're looking for:
* Experience: Some experience in an admin, retail or buying support role is preferred but not essential. Previous experience with kitchen or bathroom products is a bonus.
* Skills:
* Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
* Comfortable using spreadsheets and working with data
* Good administrative and coordination skills
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
* Communication: Confident communicator, comfortable liaising with suppliers and internal teams.
* Interest: A keen interest in eCommerce, retail or product buying and a desire to build a career in buying.
* Education: A degree in Buying, Business, Merchandising or a related field is preferred but not essential.
* Flexibility: Willingness to visit the office several times a month as required.
What we can offer you:
* Flexible working hours — we work 40 hours per week, typically starting and finishing between 8 am and 6:30 pm Monday to Friday
* Generous annual leave
* All the tech you need + remote working budget for setting up your home office
* A fantastic office, or the flexibility to work at home
* A company-wide commitment to learning and development
* A friendly, customer-focused environment built on teamwork, collaboration, ownership, and transparency
* Team and company-wide social events
* No corporate dress code
