Supervising Social Worker
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per year (depending on experience)
Location: North East England (Durham, Newcastle & Sunderland)
Job Type: Permanent
Working Pattern: Hybrid - 1-2 days per week in the office
An Independent Fostering Agency in the North East is currently looking for a passionate and motivated Supervising Social Worker to join their growing fostering service on a permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated social worker who is committed to supporting foster carers and making a positive difference in the lives of children and young people.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing and supporting a caseload of foster carers across Durham, Newcastle, and Sunderland
* Providing supervision, guidance, and support to foster carers
* Ensuring high standards of care and safeguarding for children and young people
* Completing assessments, reports, and required documentation
* Working collaboratively with internal teams and external professionals
Requirements
* Qualified Social Worker with relevant registration
* Experience within fostering, children's services, or a related area
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills
* Passionate about supporting foster families and improving outcomes for children
* Full UK driving licence and access to a car
