The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Bolton area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 1 Yard Shunters to join the team on days or nights.
Shift: Days- 5 out of 7 shifts a week across Monday to Sunday (weekends included).
Hours: 11am – 19:30pm
Job Type : Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent for the right candidate
The role:
· Operate Class 1 vehicles to move trailers and containers within the yard.
· Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the safe operation of equipment.
· Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and other team members.
· Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations at all times.
· Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the yard.
· Assist with other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
· Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C&E).
· Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
· No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
· Full understanding of WTD legislation.
· Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
· Excellent communication skills.
· A safety-first mindset.
