Reporting into the People Director, the Social Value Specialist will be responsible for ongoing governance, reporting and compliance across Social Value initiatives and activities. You will support bids and contract mobilisations, ensuring social value commitments are well formed and implemented across the project lifecycle. This is a hybrid working role, with a requirement to travel to the Telent HQ (Warwick) or on occasion, the M Group HQ (Stevenage) approximately one day per week on average. What you’ll do: Work Winning and Contract Mobilisation Provide guidance and input on social value within bid submissions ensuring commitments are feasible and aligned with customer priorities and the National Social Value Standard. Support pink / red team reviews of bid submissions and provide approval for Social Value content. Maintain and update Social Value toolkits, processes and guidance documentation. Reporting and Compliance Ensure our social value tool, ‘Loop’, is populated with accurate and auditable evidence. Provide Social Value training to project, delivery and bid teams, including how to input and manage Loop data correctly, holding them accountable for commitments. Oversee that Social Value commitments are being tracked and managed, escalating issues where necessary. Governance and Engagement Act as the subject matter expert for Social Value activities and projects, representing the business with external parties where appropriate. Advise on Social Value best practice and areas for improvement, overseeing governance including policy / process updates, accuracy and adherence. Who you are: You’re passionate about creating positive social impact and embedding social value into projects and partnerships. You understand social value frameworks and enjoy working with internal teams and community partners to turn commitments into meaningful outcomes. Key Requirements: Experience working in a Social Value role, or where Social Value forms a material part of the role. Familiarity with Social Value frameworks and reporting requirements. Well organised and able to work with contending priorities / deadlines. Able to communicate effectively across a range of mediums, varying levels of seniority, and internal / external stakeholders. Knowledge of and familiarity with Office 365 applications.
