Data Scientist As a Data Scientist with Convera based in our London office, you will help us manage and optimize our business performance by leveraging machine learning, advanced analytics and a technical skill set. You will be responsible for: The end-to-end ownership and delivery of actionable model outputs, data products and data driven insights and recommendations across Convera's business. This will involve the extraction, cleaning and preprocessing of data to provide accurate, enhanced and novel data sets for use in the development of your machine learning algorithms, statistical analyses and other data products. The automation of your data products and model outputs to help Convera consistently drive measurable results and effective insight from data at scale. Partnering closely with a range of stakeholders to share your outputs and support the design and delivery of new business processes to leverage your models and data products Handling imperfections in data and validating the integrity of data to be used for modelling Reporting into the Instrumentation team, who are responsible for the roll out of new data products and machine learning models as well as the transformation of our data, reporting and analytics. As such, you will have the opportunity to learn from a cross functional team of data scientists and analysts with a remit covering sales, marketing and product teams who will be the primary customers of your model outputs and data products. You should apply if you have: Degree relevant to data science or equivalent technical/quantitative field 2 years of relevant professional data science experience, preferably in a B2B and/or payments environment Experience with SQL for extracting data from internal databases Experience with Python and its relevant libraries for data manipulation, analysis and model development (e.g. numpy, pandas, scikit-learn) Experience in leveraging Python to acquire data from external sources using APIs and/or web-scraping Experience with data visualization tools and techniques (e.g. Tableau) Demonstrable ability to clearly and concisely summarize data into consumable content (e.g. in PowerPoint) for a wide audience including senior leadership About Convera: Convera is the largest non-bank B2B cross-border payments company in the world.
