About the role

Are you looking to support a specific child with SEND on a 1:1 basis?

You will provide targeted support to a pupil with ASC and sensory needs, helping them access learning and engage in school life. You’ll work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to tailor strategies to the pupil’s EHCP.

The school provides a highly supportive learning environment for children with a range of needs including autism, ADHD and sensory processing disorders. Staff are collaborative and dedicated to pupil development.

Permanent opportunities may arise following a successful placement.

Requirements

1. Experience supporting children with SEND, particularly autism.

2. Level 3 TA qualification or equivalent.

3. Positive and proactive approach.

4. Understanding of sensory strategies and differentiation.

Salary

£450 to £550 per week

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

5. Have relevant experience of working with children, young people or vulnerable adults.
6. Have a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
7. Desirable to hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification as a minimum.
