Leeds City College are seeking a passionate and experienced Maths Teachers to join our dynamic team in the Enterprise and Employability department. In this role, you will have the opportunity to inspire and empower students through the study of Maths, whilst also integrating enterprise and employability skills into the curriculum. Join our dedicated team and inspire the next generation of Maths learners to become confident communicators, critical thinkers, and successful individuals in Enterprise and Employability.
The School of Enterprise and Employability offers a wide range of study programmes and apprenticeship opportunities to both 16-18 and 19+ learners. Our course offers Level 1 Personal Social Development, Level 2 Enterprise and Employability and Level 1 and Level 2 Creative Craft, for learners who are looking to develop employability skills for next steps such as: further education, employment or apprenticeships.

What You Will Do
1. Plan, prepare and develop schemes of work, session plans, teaching and learning resources, learning and assessment plans.
2. Deliver and assess essential knowledge and understanding to learners.
3. Create individual SMART learning targets linked to learner study programme/course.
4. Be responsible for recording student progress.
5. Maintain and update knowledge of educational research to develop evidence-based practice.
6. Motivate and inspire students to achieve targets and develop their skills to enable progression.
7. Adapt curriculum delivery methods to maximise their effectiveness, including through the use of technology.
8. Carry out internal verification/moderation.
About You
9. Holds a L5 Teaching Qualification (e.g. Cert Ed, PGCE).
10. Relevant highest level vocational qualification or degree in teaching subject.
11. English and Maths at Level 2 or above and a willingness to improve in one or both disciplines to level 3 or above.
12. Relevant up to date subject knowledge and recent delivery in the Further Education or school sector.
13. Recent teaching delivery in relevant subject areas (PGCE teaching placements/experience would also qualify here) which demonstrates active learning and differentiated teaching styles.
