Please note our internal title for this role is 'Bi-Lingual Play, Learn, Grow Coordinator' Our Play, Learn, Grow team support parents to help their children learn and develop through play. You’ll deliver a programme of Play, Learn, Grow sessions to parents and their children (under 5), and work with early years professionals and educational settings to offer sessions in a variety of settings as well as families’ homes. Main Responsibilities Deliver a programme of ‘Play, Learn, Grow’ sessions through groups and home visits to stimulate the learning and development of children aged 2 to 5 years in Oldham. Ensure the Play, Learn, Grow programme is accessible to families from within Oldham communities who have English as a second or additional language. Promote Play, Learn, Grow to families and referrers using a variety of referral pathways and promoting self-referrals. Conduct assessments of children and parents using a range of pre- and post- outcome measures. Understand family perceptions and opinions of service and recommend changes to services and processes as appropriate. Apply effective and timely administration, review and monitoring of service delivery, including self-managing and applying relevant record keeping systems and data entry. Recruit sufficient volunteers to support the home visiting side of the work by pro-actively promoting volunteering opportunities and assessing potential volunteers. Deliver high quality volunteer training to prospective volunteers as required. Supervise and support Play, Learn, Grow volunteers regularly and provide constructive feedback and engagement. Engage with any multi-agency work for families as needed. Promote HOST externally by ensuring appropriate liaison, networking and communication with referrers, professionals, community leaders and organization.
