The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, blasting, and coating a variety of metal components used across engineering and fabrication projects.
This is a great opportunity for someone with strong surface preparation and finishing skills looking for a long-term role in a reputable local engineering business.
Perform industrial spraying of metal components to the required specification and finish.
Carry out shot blasting to clean, prepare, and texture surfaces before coating.
Prepare surfaces through cleaning, masking, priming, and abrasive blasting.
Mix paints and coatings accurately according to job requirements.
Operate spray booths, blast cabinets, and associated equipment safely and efficiently.
Conduct visual inspections to ensure work meets quality standards.
Maintain all spraying and blasting equipment, reporting any defects.
Work to production deadlines while following strict health & safety procedures.Requirements
Proven experience in industrial spraying, shot blasting, or a similar finishing/preparation role.
Strong understanding of paint systems, coatings, and surface prep methods.
Ability to read and follow job cards and specifications.
Good attention to detail and pride in producing quality work.
Safety‑conscious and comfortable working in an industrial environment.
Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
