Role Profile
Our client is a growing manufacturing/ engineering business based in Salford. We are supporting with their recruitment for an Applications Manager to join the team and make a real difference to the business. Reporting into the Technical Manager, you'll play a leading role helping customers understand their requirements, and work closely with various business functions to ensure best in class service delivery.
The role is Monday to Friday, typical office hours.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead the delivery, configuration, and lifecycle management of electrical engineering application solutions, ensuring alignment with customer operational and technical requirements.
2. Provide technical pre-sales support by translating customer needs into engineered application proposals, specifications, and system recommendations.
3. Act as the primary liaison between engineering, sales, and customers to develop technically accurate and commercially viable solutions.
4. Support business development activities through product demonstrations, technical presentations, and consultative sales engagement with clients and stakeholders.
5. Manage application projects from initial enquiry through commissioning, ensuring compliance with electrical standards, safety regulations, and customer expectations.
6. Build and maintain long-term customer relationships by providing ongoing technical support, troubleshooting assistance, and post-installation application guidance.
Key Skills & Experience
7. Electrical Engineering qualifications - ideally to degree level but HND as a minimum
8. Excellent communication skills with ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders
9. Solid technical skills - including ability to understand technical drawings
10. CAD experience & skills would be advantageous
11. Hands-on approach with willingness to work closely with different teams
12. Natural problem-solver and inquisitive by nature
