We are seeking a skilled Payroll Officer to manage and oversee payroll processes within the Manufacturing sector.
Based in Kirkby in Ashfield, this is a fantastic permanent opportunity to join a growing business and support their payroll function.
This role requires excellent attention to detail and a strong understanding of payroll systems and regulations.
Salary: up to £37,000. Fully office‑based role.
Key Responsibilities
* Accurately process payroll for employees in a timely manner.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant payroll regulations and legislation.
* Maintain and update employee records, including tax and benefits information.
* Handle payroll‑related queries and provide support to employees as needed.
* Collaborate with the Accounting & Finance team to ensure accurate reporting.
* Assist in preparing payroll reports and summaries for management review.
* Identify and implement improvements to payroll processes where necessary.
* Support audits related to payroll and employee compensation.
* Support across finance and HR where required.
Requirements
* Proven experience in payroll processing and administration.
* Strong knowledge of payroll systems and relevant legislation.
* Excellent numerical and organisational skills.
* Proficiency in accounting and finance software.
* Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
* A proactive approach to problem‑solving and process improvement.
* Local to Kirkby in Ashfield.
* Available to commute to our client’s office 5 days per week.
