Framework & Strategy Manager
Location: Milton Keynes or Glasgow, United Kingdom.
The purpose of the role is to oversee the entire lifecycle of data within the organisation from acquisition and storage to analysis and dissemination. Responsible for ensuring that data assets are managed effectively, securely, and in compliance with regulations and organisational policies.
Responsibilities
* Designing, implementing, and maintaining Operational Resilience frameworks and strategy, aligned to regulatory and internal governance standards.
* Leading annual Op Res self‑assessments and regulatory reporting (ERCC, BRC) with strong data accuracy, traceability, and auditability controls.
* Developing and embedding data governance policies, controls, and standards to ensure compliance with regulations such as GDPR.
* Architecting and optimising data structures, data flows, and information management systems to support resilience, reporting, and analytics.
* Implementing data quality frameworks, including controls for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and reliability across systems.
* Managing data integration across multiple platforms and sources, ensuring consistency across Board, regulatory, and audit narratives.
* Collaborating with 2LOD and 3LOD to ensure robust risk management, governance alignment, and control effectiveness.
* Driving data‑led insights and analytics to support strategic decision‑making and operational resilience outcomes.
Professional Experience
* Experience designing and implementing data governance frameworks, data management models, or regulatory frameworks (Required).
* Proven experience in operational resilience, risk management, or regulatory reporting within financial services (Required).
* Experience working with cross‑functional stakeholders (technology, risk, audit, governance) in complex organisations (Required).
* Experience delivering data‑driven transformation or change initiatives (Preferred).
Education
* Undergraduate degree in Information Technology, Data Management, Computer Science, or related field (Preferred).
* Professional certifications in Data Management, Risk, or Governance (e.g. DAMA, COBIT, ISO, or equivalent) (Preferred).
Languages
* English (Required).
Hard Skills
* Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks, data quality management, and information architecture (Required).
* Expertise in data regulations and compliance (e.g. GDPR, internal governance standards) (Required).
* Experience with data management tools, data modelling, and data integration techniques (Required).
* Understanding of data risk management frameworks and control design (Required).
* Knowledge of data architecture methodologies (e.g. data flows, lineage, metadata management) (Preferred).
Soft Skills
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability (Required).
* Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business insights (Required).
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills (Required).
* Ability to lead change and influence across multiple levels of the organisation (Required).
Compensation & Benefits
* Salary Range: £54,000.00 – £81,000.00 per annum (depending on experience).
* 30 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, which increases to 31 days after 5 years of service, with the option to purchase up to 5 contractual days per year.
