Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced individual to provide senior leadership to primary care nurses in Angus working in Primary Care. You will work closely with the Primary Care Manager to contribute to the strategic priorities of the Angus HSCP in relation to primary care and the unique contribution of nurses, working closely with the Senior Nurse colleagues to deliver on areas of joint responsibility. You will provide senior leadership to the primary care nursing workforce to deliver professional and operational priorities and manage the Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANPs) / trainee ANPs and primary care nurses ensuring the safe, effective and person centred care of patients across Tayside.
Responsibilities
* Provide senior leadership to the primary care nursing workforce to deliver professional and operational priorities.
* Manage Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANPs), trainee ANPs and primary care nurses.
* Ensure safe, effective, and person-centred care of patients across Tayside.
* Collaborate with the Primary Care Manager to contribute to strategic priorities in the Angus HSCP related to primary care and nursing’s role.
* Demonstrate proven leadership and management skills and work autonomously across professional boundaries.
Qualifications and Experience
* UK Registered General Nurse with evidence of relevant postgraduate education.
* Sound knowledge and understanding of the NHS environment, particularly primary care, including current policy directives related to health and social care and out-of-hours care.
* A valid registration on Sub-part 1: RN1 or RN A (RNA) or Sub-part 2: RN2 of the UK NMC Register.
* Strong management, communication, and interprofessional collaboration skills.
Hours
Full time – 37 hours.
