Primary School PMLD Teaching Assistant
Location: Swansea (Travel distances of up to 30 minutes)
Contract: Full time and Part time roles available
Salary: 89.38 per day, £13.75ph
Start Date: ASAP
Teaching Personnel is delighted to be recruiting a compassionate and dedicated PMLD Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) in a warm and inclusive primary school.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide individualised support to pupils with PMLD
* Assist with tailored learning activities and sensory-based experiences
* Support pupils with physical care needs, including mobility, feeding, and personal care
* Build trusting, positive relationships to help pupils feel safe and confident by recognising their preferences and communicating with them
* Provide support to pupils with speech & language needs, or emotional/behavioural challenges
* Help maintain a calm, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
We’re Looking For Someone Who…
* Is patient, empathetic, and passionate about supporting children with complex needs
* Has experience working with pupils with PMLD or severe/complex needs (Experience in PMLD, SLD, or complex care settings)
* Is adaptable, intuitive, and calm under pressure
* Communicates clearly with staff, pupils, and professionals
* Enjoys working as part of a strong, supportive team
* Has previous training in manual handling, hoisting, or medical needs
* Has knowledge of sensory processing, communication aids, or AAC

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
