About the role
Utilising your outstanding people skills, you will be engaging with customers on a daily basis, taking the time to listen and understand their financial needs and goals. Your day will include opening and setting up tills, making customer appointments, processing transactions at the counter, assisting in the opening of savings accounts, and cashing up and closing at the end of the day. You will also help maintain a welcoming environment by preparing a kettle and enjoying a cuppa with colleagues.
Responsibilities
* Engage face‑to‑face with customers on a daily basis.
* Prepare tills and process customer transactions at the counter.
* Assist with opening savings accounts.
* Manage daily cash handling and close the till.
* Support the team in delivering an outstanding customer experience.
About You
* Excellent people skills and the ability to build relationships with customers.
* Strong listening skills and empathy.
* Team orientated and collaborative with branch colleagues.
* Desire to learn and develop new skills, even without prior financial services experience.
* Ready to participate in a 12‑week training programme, development conversations, and future career progression.
Working Hours & Contract
35 hours per week, Monday – Friday 9am‑5pm, plus Saturdays on a rota basis (typically until 12pm). 25 days’ annual leave + bank holidays (rises to 30 days with length of service). 25 days’ holiday can be bought or sold up to 5 days.
