Job Title: Structural Engineer
Designing steel structures from Telford office for a leading global manufacturer, distributor & installer of storage solutions for £Multi-M warehouse fit-outs. The company is experiencing sustainable growth across the UK and is supported by its HQ team located on a Telford business park.
You will like
The role involves all aspects of the design process, working with in-house tools to create bespoke engineering solutions for customers. You will collaborate closely with the sales department to understand customer briefs and their goals for new structures. Your responsibilities include:
* Delivering concept and detailed structural schemes to Sales and Design teams.
* Performing calculations for cold-formed steel structures following prevailing standards (EN codes and storage industry standards).
* Explaining calculations clearly.
* Participating in product tests and interpreting results.
* Developing software to standardise calculation processes.
Full training will be provided, and there are further career opportunities for the right candidate.
You will have
To succeed as a Structural Engineer, you should have:
* An MEng/BEng/BSc or equivalent in Structural or Civil Engineering.
* Understanding of steelwork design codes.
* Effective communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
* Experience with thin-gauge steel.
* Experience within the storage industry.
* Proficiency in CAD.
