Overview
General Adult Consultant Psychiatrist - 229256 PM role at NHS Lothian. Location: Royal Edinburgh Hospital. This is a part-time post (24 hours per week, 6 PA) working with an established team in the Acute General Adult Inpatient wards. The post is supported by a full-time Specialty Doctor, a Core Trainee and an FY2 trainee.
There is an opportunity to discuss options if a candidate is seeking a full-time role or additional hours.
Responsibilities
* Join and contribute to the established consultant team in the Acute General Adult Inpatient wards at the Royal Edinburgh Hospital.
* Work with the post holder at 4 PAs in the post, alongside 2 full-time consultants and 2 Specialist doctors.
* Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality psychiatry services within an inpatient setting.
Qualifications
* Full GMC Registration, a license to practise, and eligibility for inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register.
* UK-trained applicants should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from the date of interview.
* Portfolio Pathway (formerly CESR) route doctors are eligible to apply for a substantive consultant post after it has been awarded.
* Non-UK applicants must demonstrate equivalent training.
