Police Support Team and Systems Audit Manager Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency Apply before 11:55 pm on Friday 31st October 2025 Location: Swansea Salary: £35,663 - A Civil Service Pension with an employer contribution of 28.97% Contract Type: Permanent – Flexible working, Full-time, Job share, Part-time The Police Support Team is dedicated to exchanging information and data between the DVLA and law enforcement agencies across the UK via an email and telephone-based enquiry service. The data is required to facilitate the investigation and prevention of crime or road traffic incidents. It is the first point of contact for recognised police liaison officers who represent all UK police forces and other enforcement agencies. The team provides a “live” service with tight turnaround times which is supported by a 24/7 on-call service for urgent and threat to life enquiries. This is a wide-ranging role that requires a good understanding of DVLA and the services we provide. It covers all aspects of DVLA business including Driver, Vehicles, Data sharing and Enforcements. In the role of Team leader, you will be responsible for the management of the Police Support Team service delivery to our key law enforcement stakeholders, providing advice and guidance on requests for information and ensuring their needs are understood by DVLA. Top Responsibilities * Stakeholder engagement both internally and externally. * Representing the unit and our stakeholders’ interests and priorities in providing specialist advice and support. * Engaging with internal stakeholders to keep up to date with changes to Agency policies, processes and technical change to assess the impact of change on our services and stakeholders. * Day to day management of the operation team, including a 24/7 on call service. This includes line management of approx. 10 staff at AA, AO and EO grade. * Management of the provision of information and evidence, where appropriate and lawful, from DVLA databases to the police and other key stakeholders in relation to a wide range of criminal offences.
