Agriculture Lecturer

About the Role
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and training across a range of agricultural courses, supporting students and other client groups to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Teaching and training students to the college's high academic and vocational standards
- Tutoring and managing one or more groups of learners
- Supporting the development and continuous improvement of agricultural courses
- Participating in internal verification, auditing, and quality assurance processes
- Ensuring an outstanding learner experience across all interactions
Requirements
We welcome applications from both experienced lecturers and skilled industry professionals looking to transition into teaching.
- Strong, practical knowledge of agriculture, including arable, livestock, and farm machinery
- A qualification at HNC level (or equivalent vocational experience within agriculture)
- A genuine passion for the farming industry and awareness of current sector developments
- GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4 or above (or equivalent)
- A commitment to ongoing professional development (CPD)
Desirable (but not essential)
- NPTC Tractor Proficiency
- PA Certificates
- Telehandler operation certification
- A teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards a Diploma in Teaching and Learning / Cert Ed)
