Salary: Circa £80,000 (dependent on skills and experience)
Join a dynamic Radar Signal Processing Technical Lead role at the forefront of real-world demands in the defence industry. Your responsibilities will include ensuring operational excellence for existing products, developing next-generation radar products to counter emerging threats, and contributing to our technology strategy. Your daily activities will be diverse and exciting, applying System Engineering principles across the entire development lifecycle of radar systems used to serve and protect us.
What you'll be doing:
1. Lead design and architectural implementation of a common signal processing platform for future complex radar products, providing technical leadership to a team designing, implementing, and integrating signal processing solutions into radar systems.
2. Interact effectively with the project technical authority, engineering manager, and senior stakeholders.
3. Collaborate with specialists across electronics, electrical, mechanical, and software disciplines to ensure a consistent system design approach.
4. Apply and promote ISO 15288 Systems Engineering principles throughout the engineering lifecycle, from requirements to system support and disposal.
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
* Expert understanding of Signal Processing algorithms and real-time software implementation.
* Knowledge of the relationship between algorithms, software, and hardware platforms.
* Experience leading signal processing architecture development and design.
* Proficiency in one or more programming languages.
Desirable:
* Experience in Complex Radar Signal Processing.
* Knowledge of software and hardware engineering lifecycles from requirements to in-service support.
