Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to help deliver our regulatory responsibilities, placed on us as the Enforcement Authority for the Reservoirs Act 1975 in England. The Reservoirs Act helps to ensure the safe operation and management of dams.
Job details You will join the Compliance and Monitoring team, part of the Reservoir Regulation team within the Environmental Assessment and Reservoir Regulation department of the Flood & Coastal Risk Management (FCRM) Directorate. This is a part-time job share role (22.2 hours per week) with some travel and overnight stays required as the team is nationally dispersed.
Responsibilities
* Monitor compliance with the Reservoirs Act 1975 for the 2140 reservoirs in England.
* Manage day-to-day correspondence and record incoming documentation on the database to ensure records are accurate and up to date.
* Encourage compliance when reports or certificates are not received as expected.
* Act as the first point of contact for reservoir owners and panel engineers.
* Provide information and advice on the requirements of the Act.
