Description

• Operating machine tools including CNC Punches, CNC Press Brakes, Rollers, Lockforming Equipment and Hand Tools.
• Maintenance of machine tools, hand tools and other manufacturing related equipment.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures as instructed.
• To ensure that all H&S rules are always adhered to, without exception. Including wearing of any PPE that is provided to you.
• Carry out all training provided to deadlines prescribed such as LEAN manufacturing course.
• Execute the responsibilities of a company employee acting in a lawful and ethical manner in accordance with your contract of employment and company staff handbook.
• Work with your line manager to further your own professional development, including performance appraisal and identifying and meeting training needs to ensure competence and compliance.
• Moving raw materials to the machines.
• Breaking out machined parts.
• Moving machined parts to their required location.
• Sharpening tools for the Punch machine.
• Checking and changing tools.
• Removal of scrap material
• Pro-active maintenance of the machine.
• Lifting and carrying heavy items.
• Programming input with the CPU control unit.
• Reading engineering drawings and measuring parts against the loading lists and drawings.
• Working alone, and with other team members to carry out manufacturing tasks.
• Following a production schedule using loading lists.
• Operate punch machines to cut and form metal parts of varying thickness and length.

Requirements

• Learn from team members and their experience in the field engineering and warehousing etc.
• Support team members with safety and production related activities.
• Work with the senior management team to prepare a safety strategy for the business, including budgets/costings.
• Any other ad hoc duties that may be required as part of the management team.

Educational Requirements

There are no educational qualifications required.

Additional Info

• 28 days holiday inc bank holidays
• All PPE is provided FOC including work boots
• 2.30pm finish on Friday
• Parking is available on-site
