Logistics Administrator
Brighton & Hove
Circa £27,000 per annum
Monday – Friday, 8am – 4pm, 37.5 hours per week (flexibility offered)
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Logistics Administrator to join our dynamic team based in Brighton. his is an exciting entry-level role that supports the coordination of port handling and mining machinery, along with spare parts, from Europe to a wide range of destinations across West Africa.
The role offers a chance to work within an international supply chain, where every day is different, and there’s real scope to learn and grow. Full training will be provided, making this a perfect opportunity for someone with the right attitude and strong organisational skills who’s looking to build a career in logistics.

The Candidate;
Knowledge of air, sea, and road freight processes is highly beneficial.
Previous experience within a fast paced logistics and shipping operation is highly desirable
Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel
Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written
Ability to manage and prioritise a varied workload
A flexible, proactive attitude and the confidence to work independently after training
A high attention to detail is essential
Must be resilient and have strong customer service skills
Strong administrative skills
Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
An Interest in supply chain/logistics
Knowledge of West African geography is desirable
Any foreign language skills is desirable
Duties and Responsibilities;
Process customer orders accurately from initial receipt to final dispatch
Coordinate shipments from Europe to West Africa with suppliers and freight partners
Prepare and check export documentation for compliance and accuracy
Send weekly shipment updates to key customers
Respond promptly to customer and internal queries
Identify and resolve shipping or supply chain issues
Escalate complex problems to the Unit Manager when needed
Maintain clear and accurate logistics records in internal systems
Collaborate with team members and other departments to meet deadlines
Ensuring every customer receives excellent customer service
Keep all customers informed of all failed services or significant delays
