G4S Care and Rehabilitation Services Oakhill Secure Training Centre, Milton Keynes Salary : £29,478.60 per annum Permanent, Full-Time (40 hours per week) Benefits: Company Pension, free on-site parking, uniform, on-site canteen, access to High Street Shop discounts and ongoing training and development At Oakhill Secure Training Centre we look after young people aged 12 to 18 years old who have been remanded or sentenced to periods of detention. The vulnerable young people in our care can be challenging with a wide range of social and emotional complex needs. This is an environment that calls for high standards of social care and service delivery to provide a secure and stable environment for young people to develop their life skills and address the behaviours that have led them into custody. Oakhill Secure Training Centre works closely with the Youth Custody Services to ensure that its regimes and designs reflect best practice in residential care to prevent offending. We are looking to recruit an Audit and Compliance Assistant who will be responsible for leading on the centre’s compliance framework and liaising with departments in relation to contractual compliance. The Compliance Officer will also oversee the centre’s complaints process ensuring contractual timescales are adhered to. The successful candidate must have experience of work planning, monitoring and reviewing of performance and be conversent with using google applications. Key Responsibilities Collect and collate information provided weekly in departmental compliance books and lead on the Centre Compliance Framework. Present the weekly compliance meeting to all department representatives - highlighting good practice and areas for improvement. In line with the compliance framework, conduct dip tests to ensure efficiency and assurance. Where required, provide daily, weekly and monthly data to inform updates of performance to senior managers through monitoring of compliance. Support staff in their understanding of the contract and the execution of their duties in compliance with the requirements of the contract. This may require training of new staff. Oversee the entire complaints process, including collecting, processing and organising complaints submitted and allocate them according to the nature of the complaint. Store and collate information regarding complaints and provide a detailed monthly report for the Head of Operational Delivery and other reports that are required by the organisation such as Key Performance indicators and targets. Support with any general administrative tasks as directed by the Quality Assurance Manager, or other managers within the team. Assist in the promotion of creating a positive Health & Safety culture across the site leading by example, this includes reporting accidents and near misses in a timely manner & follow the applicable safe systems of work for the role.
