Responsibilities
* Conduct and organise the Clinical/Surgical and Endoscopy team within theatre, ensuring smooth running of theatre lists, organising booking forms and assisting sessions in theatres.
* Work collaboratively and flexibly across the theatre suites to accommodate the service demands of each department, including Endoscopy, General, Orthopaedics, Gynaecology.
* Promote effective clinical risk management and governance within the department, including safety and risk management, quality improvement and ensuring policies and procedures to enhance patient care and service delivery.
* Have extensive knowledge required for dealing with audits and equipment.
* Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of surgical techniques and associated equipment.
* Have ample opportunities for continuous growth and personal development, including Surgical First Assist training.
Qualifications & Experience
We are looking for a Clinical Leader for our hospital to help us build a healthier nation. You are registered with the appropriate governing body and you have the relevant qualifications and post‑registration in surgery/anaesthetics experience, including as a Registered Nurse or HCPC Registered Operating Department Practitioner. With strong clinical leadership, you will guide your team with a shared vision promoting innovation and sustainability. Strong communication and organisational skills, and the ability to work as part of a team, are essential. Knowledge and understanding of running a smooth & effective department equipment is also essential.
