Description
It's an exciting time to join the Digital team at AXA Health, with significant investments planned across UK&I businesses to transform and deliver new digital services to our customers, as well as to streamline and automate business processes. We are seeking an experienced Test Engineer to join our Engineering team, to help deliver our digital roadmap, develop our people and capabilities, and support our engineering strategy to improve all teams.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a product-led operating model. In this model, all teams align with value streams, enabling us to take ideas from conception to completion with minimal handoffs. Our current focus is on developing our Single Digital Platform, based on Salesforce, with a significant .NET estate, Azure services, and React frontend applications.
As a Test Engineer, you will learn about recent technology trends and influence organizational choices. Our engineers are highly collaborative, respectful of opinions, and committed to continuous improvement. You will contribute to a motivating atmosphere where everyone is energized and enthusiastic about achieving shared goals.
At AXA, we promote a flexible work environment, empowering our employees to balance home and office work in a way that suits them, their team, and our customers. You will work at least 40% remotely, with an expectation to increase to the majority of your workweek from September 2025, which may involve working from local offices or traveling for business. Our office locations include Leeds, Middlesbrough, Bristol, Tunbridge Wells, and Bournemouth. We are open to discussing flexible working arrangements.
What you'll be doing:
1. Work as part of an Agile delivery team, using your skills to identify bugs early in the SDLC.
2. Collaborate with development teams to streamline handovers and define completion criteria.
3. Manage automated test pipelines, continually seeking to improve reliability and coverage.
4. Participate in the AXA Health Test Guild and collaborate with fellow test professionals.
Due to high application volume, we may close this advert early. If you're interested, please apply promptly.
What you'll bring:

* Creative and exploratory manual testing skills.
* Hands-on experience with automated testing in .NET and React stacks.
* Experience working in Agile teams.
* Ability to conduct non-functional testing, focusing on Compatibility, Accessibility, and Performance.
* Desirable: experience with Azure pipelines, Playwright, BrowserStack, Percy, K6, or Axe DevTools.
You must be eligible and authorized to work in the UK to be considered for this role.
What we offer:
* Salary up to £50,000 depending on experience.
* Annual performance-based bonus.
* Contributory pension scheme (up to 12%).
