VACANCY HIS3255 MOBILE PLANT FITTER. REGIONAL. CONTRACT TYPE: PERMANENT. CLOSING DATE: 05/08/2025. SALARY: £17.75 PER HOUR. 40 HOURS PER WEEK PLUS UP TO 23 HOURS OVERTIME EACH WEEK.
Role purpose
The Mobile Plant Fitter role exists to oversee the effective examination, testing, servicing, and maintenance of all items of mobile plant and associated equipment within our contract area.
Responsibilities
* Carry out PPM and RCM (ODA) as per mobile plant agreed inspections criteria.
* Carry out planned defect repairs on all mobile plant and equipment within the HIS service delivery scope.
* Attend, diagnose, and agree repair processes for mobile plant breakdowns.
* Perform site operational tasks in accordance with training, site procedures and supervisor instructions.
* Complete all necessary documents, reports and records.
* Work with the operational department to ensure availability of mobile plant assets.
* Provide an efficient and professional support service to the operational process requirements.
* Identify and implement continuous improvements and innovations.
* Provide full flexibility to carry out required operational duties.
* Collate, collaborate and communicate the mobile plant maintenance plan to all stakeholders (HIS and client).
* Establish effective communication channels with mobile plant manufacturers, HIS Mobile Plant department, and spares, equipment and consumables supply chains.
* Carry out any other reasonable instruction required to ensure the smooth operation of equipment.
Qualifications / Skills
* CPCS safety passport or equivalent.
* Mobile Plant Maintenance qualification (City & Guilds Part 3 / NVQ Level 2/3).
* Approach work positively with a can-do attitude.
* Act on own initiative without being prompted.
* See all work through to completion.
* Self-motivated to identify improvements within the work area and take action to implement these successfully.
* Risk assessment training.
* Manual handling training.
* COSHH awareness training.
