This is not a maintenance role. This is role to influence at scale.
The Opportunity
* You’ll sit at the intersection of finance, strategy and governance — leading legal oversight on:
* Multi-billion dollar debt raises, refinancings and high-yield issuances
* US leveraged finance transactions (TLBs, acquisition finance, sponsor-backed deals)
* Enterprise-wide regulatory transformation (UK/EU frameworks including FCA)
* AI governance, data strategy and operational resilience
* Board, Audit & Risk Committee advisory
* You’ll partner directly with the CFO, CIO and CRO. You’ll advise at Board level. You’ll modernise how legal enables growth.
Ideally you will have:
* Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales), 9+ PQE
* Deep leveraged finance and capital markets experience (US exposure highly valued)
* Board-level advisory credibility
* Strong regulatory knowledge (UK/EU)
* Proven leadership of high-performing teams and external counsel
* In-house experience within a complex, acquisitive group is advantageous.
* Exposure to AI governance, or operational resilience is a plus.
