Shillito Executive Search are working with a Rotherham based manufacturing business as they look to recruit a Production Manager.
Reporting to the Engineering Director, this is a key role and requires working to high quality standards, so would suit someone from a manufacturing industry with high quality standards such as food or glass manufacturing.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
* Managing the Production department
* Overseeing Purchasing Department
* Managing recruitment with line managers and participation with any internal re-structures
* Involvement with Health & Safety e.g. updating risk assessments; manual handling; updating JSI’s; accident investigations; recommending improvements
* Liaise with on-site contractors
* Updates on any quality issues with production and log daily faults
* Process improvement – identifying areas for quality and quantity improvements
* Producing monthly reports
* Identifying cost savings
* Work closely with the Factory Manager to achieve production targets and maintain factory standards
* Producing daily/weekly efficiencies with the aim of achieving standards
* Ensure the supervisory team follows all procedures related to machine operating and factor safety procedures
* Heavy involvement in the 4-week plan – liaising with various other managers
* Chairing morning and afternoon production meetings
To be considered for this role, we're looking for someone:
* Considerable experience in production and manufacturing from industries who adhere to high quality standards, such as food manufacturing or glass manufacturing
* Passionate about standards, quality and health and safety
* Manage your own time as well as the supervision and management of other
