Head of Sales
Role Overview:
Head of Sales will play a pivotal leadership role in driving business growth through strategic planning, execution, and performance management. Working closely with Directors, the role will be responsible for developing and implementing cohesive sales strategies that align with company goals. This position requires a strong leader capable of inspiring and managing teams, ensuring clarity of direction, and delivering measurable results. This position requires a proactive presence in the market, including visits to customers and company branches to support local teams and develop strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
* Strategic Leadership
*
o Collaborate with company Directors to design and refine sales strategies.
* Analyse market trends, performance data, and customer insights to shape effective commercial strategies.
* Set clear objectives, KPIs, and performance metrics aligned with business targets.
* Sales Management
*
o Lead, mentor and oversee the sales function, ensuring revenue targets are achieved.
* Develop sales plans, forecasts, and incentive programs to drive performance.
* Set clear goals and align daily operations with business strategy.
* Analyse sales data to identify trends, gaps and areas of improvement.
* Collaborate cross-functionality with operations, customer service, and product teams to ensure seamless execution of customer requirements.
* Monitor pipelines, identify new opportunities, and support high-value deal negotiations.
* Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and align sales with marketing activities.
* Hands on involvement, visiting customers and branches to strengthen relationships.
* Team Development & Collaboration

o Lead, coach and mentor the sales team to achieve KPIs and foster a collaborative culture.
* Foster collaboration across departments to ensure consistency and alignment of messaging and strategy.
* Represent the sales function in leadership meetings and cross-functional projects.
* Performance Monitoring & Reporting

o Regularly report on sales performance to senior leadership.
* Adjust strategies based on analytics, market feedback, and business priorities.
* Ensure adherence to budgets, timelines, and compliance standards.

Salary 55k 70k
Work Location: Chichester with travel to customer sites and branches
